I’ve been having so much fun with my new Vita-Mix! I’m going to miss it while I’m at the Hazon Food Conference this week. The good news is, if past years are any indication, they’ll have yummy stuff like dehydrated beet and sweet potato chips. Can’t wait to see what new healthy food I can get the kids to eat!
In the meantime, here’s some healthy food I’ve been getting them to eat at home! And some of it has been for the grown-ups!
My 1st sorbet in the Vita-Mix. See how thick it is! That spoon is sideways and nothing is moving! I simply dumped in a bag of frozen mixed fruit: peaches, pineapple, strawberries and mango.
I am never paying $5 for a container of sorbet again! Not the money, it’s the corn syrup, sugar, thickeners, preservatives, etc…
My husband said it makes him look kinda bad when someone asks him what he got me for my birthday and he says a blender. I said, “It’s not a blender, it’s a Vita-Mix.” That’s in their sales material, right? Must be. Anyway, I begged for it, for the record.
Finally, he said, “You realize this is an elitist appliance don’t you?” I do. But it’s a healthy one and I’m happy to have it!
Because I’m at the beginning of my use, send any and all vegan ideas this way. Looking forward to hearing about others fun, healthy recipes and experiences. I feel like I should make a commercial and end it with, “It’s a lifestyle…” or something dorky. lol…
